So, it’s September already and Football Season has started! Our first game of the season was held last Friday, the 5th. We played against the Corona HS Panthers and won! The Titan Thunder Regiment performed during half-time and boy, did they perform well. Amidst the high volume of noise going on, the TTR marched and played their first song of their show so good that the crowds applauded with cheers and whistles!
Students from the local Middle School Bands also came to perform Pep songs with the Titan Thunder Regiment in the stands. It was a really neat thing to see all their excited faces and see their proud parents that night. It brought back memories when our high school kids were in middle school I’m sure…..
Pictures from that night can be found on our Photos page here on the website.

It’s been great hearing from the parents about what they think of the website! It’s a continuous “work in progress” but it’s coming along really well. The Photos page has a few links to the photos taken by Liz Gearhart and Ellen Bevins. The Resources and Links page has Auction Event documents, Band-related documents, and the TTR Bands Handbook which all students and parents should have all read. We have also activated the Marching Band and the Color Guard pages (dropdown selection from the homepage) and the Videos Page! When accessing the Videos page though, give it some time to load up the videos we have (depending on your internet speed - a good 2-4 minutes should work). Each video has its own “controller” so you can play whichever one you select. That’s it for now! Future works in plan? Photos of the Band Boosters, Student Leaders, and eventually each band student with a mini-profile on each one of them.
Thanks for all the encouraging words and so glad a lot of you have been using the information we have made available to you regularly. It looks like our Blog is the most popular page! The Photos and Resources and Links page are coming in at a close second!
See you all at Tuesday’s meeting!

Remember to attend the first annual Band Booster Meeting this Tuesday, August 26th. The meetings start promptly at 7:00 pm and are held on pretty much the second Tuesday of every month (With the exception of this one of course). Meet at the Band Room. We will start the meetings promptly at 7:00 pm as we know that you all have to get home to the family at a descent time. Most meetings last appx. 45 minutes to an hour long - depending on the Agenda’s content. So, come one come all! It’s a great way to meet the rest of the band parents anyway!

Bring those cameras for tomorrow! Don’t forget tomorrow’s Informance! It’ll be nice to have photos or videos of a before and after - it will be so much fun watching this band go from start to finish. Watching them last night during a quick visit, they looked awesome and excited. Though, they still show signs of apprehension - the way they march in straight lines and formations from a week and a half’s worth of practice? Only one word comes to mind…… “impressive”! Can’t wait to see what they look like in a couple of months down the road! They’ll be able to successfully march in those straight lines and create those formations with their eyes closed and still play the music beautifully!
So come one come all! Tomorrow starting at 5:00 pm! See you when you get there! Join the band and show your support!

From www.ttrbands.com, under the Band Ensembles drop-down list, select Marching. This should bring you to the Marching Band’s webpage (which is still under construction). I have posted a video of photos taken during last Friday’s Band Camp evening. Enjoy!

Hello Everyone!
Tomorrow is the beginning of our second week of Band Camp. The kids were doing such a great job on Friday while I visited to take some pictures. It’s pretty impressive how well they are marching the drill considering they’d only been at it for two days. This band is going to do great things this year.
Parents: If you’re picking your kids up at 8:00 pm this week and if you get to the school campus a few minutes early….stop by the football field to watch the makings of the Titan Thunder Regiment Marching Band!
Don’t forget the Informance this Friday! Make plans to get to the school in time to watch their premier performance.
Students: Don’t forget your sunscreen, hats, sunglasses, water/drinks and dot book!

As anyone who saw our jazz band this past year can attest, this ensemble is on its way up in a big way. This class will meet during zero period and is open to saxophone, trumpet and trombone players. Additionally, there are a limited number of rhythm section spots available for piano, guitar, bass and drums. If you are interested in joining this ensemble, please email Mr. Smith as soon as possible. Spots are limited.
